Play music with your kids
Raising children is a big responsibility and sometimes it calls for discipline measures. However, the time that you spend can be a lot of fun. It is interesting how they run, talk and discover the world around them…
If you are out of ideas, you can try and bring the world of music closer to them. The good sides of music activities are that they are amusing and educational at the same time. Even you can join them, help them to organize better and even remember your own childhood.
• Propose to your kids to form a “music band”. Each of the participants can choose his role in the band. Prepare simple instruments such as bell, shaker or a triangle. You can be the conductor: use a pencil or a ladle as a stick.
• Balance the movements with music. Propose to your kids to balance their movements along with the rhythm they produce. This way they will practice better movement coordination and develop better hearing.
• Connect dance with words games. Sing the first line of a song and tell your kids to repeat it with the same melody. Besides being fun, the useful side of this game is memory exercise and development of the breathing technique.
If you are too tired, you can watch your kids while they play. You can never know what you can find out about your kids. They say that it’s a real blessing if you discover and nourish your kids’ talents from the very beginning. Maybe one of them is truly gifted for music.
In the meanwhile, see how siblings Vazquez – Gustavo (15), Abelardo (13) and Angela (10) made cover for Adele’s song “Rolling in the deep“. They have become popular worldwide and now they get millions of views. Enjoy the song and play music with your kids!
